We couldn’t be seated outside due to the size of our party but we were seated in the window with a lovely view. All the wine we tried was lovely and everything was presented in a beautiful way. If Inge has time you should ask her about her story, fascinating and romantic how they wound up in this region! I hope to bring my mother and father here when we travel next summer. ”

“ This super cozy restaurant was amazing. The food was INCREDIBLE, possibly one of the best risotto I have ever eaten. My boyfriend had the suggestion of the day which was tortellini with chicken and red sauce that was absolutely delicious. The people serving were incredibly nice! They gave us the password of the wifi since the signal in the town is not so good and they even brought a bowl of water to our dog. If you are in Castellane you have to try this place!!!! ”

“ Well wort reserving a table here. And certainly you need to reserve (several days in advance in high season). An extremely warm welcome and service from the owner/waitress and her colleague. No long wait times but equally no rushed service (they limit their service to 45 seats per session, so no quick turn over the table to get another service in - much appreciated). Nice friendly chat with the owner at the end of our meal. The environment is lovely (on the fountain side of the terrace - when you book mke sure you ask to be seated there rather on the street side of the restaurant. Much enjoyed the food, which is of quality, all home made, and generous in portion size without being excessive. The only comment I would make is that the croquettes de riz de veau was too dominated by the béchamel sauce. Will return next year. ”
